In the same year, she released the album she titled Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It also was among the first five songs. The song was unique since a lot of people reacted to her interview with rapper Rap-Up on her journey to learn to love and embrace her. Cara integrates messages about compassion and self-love throughout her songs. The music that she has written stems from her personal struggles to overcome mental health problems and insomnia. Interview with Reuters she said that her album was "half tumultuous" and "half complete". She claims she has grown through therapy, and encourages others to seek assistance when needed. Alessia Cara is a Canadian performer who was born on July 11, 1996, to parents who are of Italian origin. When she was 10 years old her parents gave her a guitar that became the starting point of her passion for music. In 2013, she performed some of her most loved songs on YouTube which is a well-known social media site. It was done to show that she had the ability and the confidence to pursue a career as an artist. Sweater Weather is one of these covers which led to being discovered to be signed by EP Entertainment. This record label gave her the opportunity to create her own songs.
