Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to pursue a passion for acting. While at his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. He has appeared in both films and television, but it was his smaller-screen roles which gained him fame as well as an enormous following. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters on both one side of the law. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played an infamous serial killer. In later projects, he was the role of an NYPD Investigator. For his performances on small screens, he has received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is famous by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into the trademark of his character and has helped him portray tough characters with charisma. In 2006, he was featured in the People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
